Our Vision

Indian classical music is one of humanity's most sophisticated cultural inheritances. Yet beyond celebrated maestros exists a vast community of gifted artists, students, teachers, accompanists, and cultural practitioners whose contributions often remain unseen. The Kanika Pandey Foundation exists to strengthen this continuum.

Kanika Pandey

Kanika Pandey is a Hindustani classical vocalist and arts advocate. Trained under her father, Pt. S. S. Pandey, and under legendary musicians Padma Vibhushan Pts. Rajan and Sajan Mishra, her artistic excellence is matched by an equally distinguished academic path.

A Ford Foundation International fellow, she holds a master's degree in Hindustani classical music from the University of Rajasthan and a second master's in Performing Arts Administration from New York University (NYU). While having lived in the US for over two decades, Kanika has remained deeply tethered to her roots, actively supporting the artistic fraternity of her hometown. Co-founder

Sudhakar Pandey

Sudhakar Pandey brings to our leadership a lifelong commitment to cultural stewardship, grounded in both professional rigor and deep artistic devotion. Rather than viewing business and art as separate spheres, he has built his life around the belief that creative discipline provides the foundation for sound judgement, empathy, and enduring leadership.

Steeped in a rich musical lineage, Sudhakar’s training carries forward the traditions of classical Indian music passed down through his gurus — Pt. Vishwa Mohan Bhatt and father, Pt S. S. Pandey. For him, music is a daily spiritual practice — a quiet anchor away from public applause. His reverence for this heritage is reflected in his disciplined study and an abiding respect for the guru-shishya tradition, which informs how he mentors others and builds lasting organizational values. Behind the scenes, Sudhakar has long been a dedicated advocate for grassroots cultural initiatives. His involvement with Sangeet Sankalp Jaipur and Kota chapters has been marked by quiet, sustained support. By helping preserve local traditions and nurturing emerging talent, he has consistently worked to ensure that regional art forms remain vibrant and accessible. As Co-Founder, Sudhakar combines this subtle, steady stewardship with a vision for community growth. He brings an authentic connection to the cultural fabric of the region, ensuring that our foundation's initiatives are rooted in artistic integrity and lasting social value.
